BLOODSIMPLE Guitarist: 'Frustration And Discontent Make For Good Music'
September 12, 2006BLOODSIMPLE guitarist Mike Kennedy (ex-VISION OF DISORDER) has issued the following update:
"Well, another September 11th here and gone. The city was ominous yesterday amidst all the memorials and two giant light beams shooting up from where the World Trade Center used to be.
"The world is facing chaos, the Middle East is tumultuous and running out of Earth's blood, and my brother has joined the national guard and will probably at some point be shipped off to some warzone for a year. Other than that, things are great. Frustration and discontent, as we all know, make for good music and we are pouring all of it into this record.
"Throughout all the war, media propaganda, world drama and trauma, and Brads and Angelinas of the Earth.... We must remember the simple things. And to both sides... 'Terror's weapon is fear and victory may be as simple as living our lives without it.'"
BLOODSIMPLE, which features in its ranks former members of VISION OF DISORDER and MEDICATION, is currently in pre-production for its second album at Machine Shop studio in Hoboken, New Jersey with producer Machine. A 2007 release is expected.
BLOODSIMPLE's debut album, "A Cruel World", was released in March 2005 on MUDVAYNE singer Chad Gray's Bullygoat label imprint (via Warner Bros.). The CD was recorded in Vancouver B.C. with producer Garth Richardson, who has previously worked with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE, MUDVAYNE, SLIPKNOT and CHEVELLE. The album was mixed by Mike Fraser (HATEBREED).
